 What is the 287 Parent Committee?

• Made up of people who would like to assist the squadron
• All parents/guardians of cadets are members

  Responsibilities:

• Providing funds for the squadron
• Assisting in finding and enrolling staff members
• Assisting in recruiting cadets
• Screening volunteers
• Serving as a liaison between parents and staff members

Parents who are unable to attend meetings are encouraged to contact a member of the Parent Committee Executive to see if there are other ways you can help... we need a large number of volunteers with different skills and talents to assist in various capacities!

VOLUNTEER SCREENING PROCESS

The process for screening volunteers is now being managed by the Cadets and Canadian Junior Rangers (CJCR). The squadron needs volunteers to assist with planning, fundraising and the conduct of squadron training activities. In order to volunteer with Cadets there is a process that varies slightly depending on the level of involvement you will have directly with cadets. Please speak with the Squadron Sponsoring Committee or the Commanding Officer if you are interested and your name will be sent to the Regional Support Unit (Northwest) who will contact you to walk through all steps in the process.
