Responsibilities:
Details:
Parents who are unable to attend meetings are encouraged to contact a member of the Parent Committee Executive to see if there are other ways you can help... we need a large number of volunteers with different skills and talents to assist in various capacities!
The following link will take you to the Air Cadet League of Canada. There you can find the screening tab and then the application form/ applicant letter
Please bring these completed forms back to a member of the Parent Squadron Sponsoring Committee (we are usually across from the parade hall on Wed nights)

Criminal Record Checks must also be submitted. You can do this online by following the link in the application form to EPIC. There is a $26.00 charge for using this service but you may then use the check for multiple organizations and it does save you the time and energy of visiting a police station. If you wish to obtain your record check for free, you can visit either the RCMP station in Beaumont if you live within the City bounds or if you live in Edmonton at the EPS station #108 14315-118 Ave in the Nexus building.
Please feel free to call Trudy if you have any questions. 780-288-0732
The squadron sponsoring committee is instituting a volunteer bond this year. The purpose of the volunteer bond is to encourage families to support the squadron. It does not affect a cadet's involvement in the squadron or the program.
The volunteer bond is not a fundraising initiative for the squadron. Volunteering to help the squadron has a greater cash value than the bond and we would like as many families to help out as possible.
If one family has more than one cadet in the squadron, only one set of volunteer cheques is required.
If a family does not have or use cheques, cash will be accepted. The parent sponsoring committee will issue a receipt for any cash received and a cheque will be issued when the activity has been completed. If a cadet drops out of the program, the cheques will be returned.
Parents who volunteer for the following activities will have a $50 cheque returned to them:
