A weekend training exercise where cadets learn how to build shelters, snares, put up tents, make signal fires and camp fires, etc. They will also learn proper hiking techniques, map and compass, and other useful aircrew survival skills such as survival psychology and overcoming the seven enemies of survival. (To name some: boredom, thirst, fatigue, etc.).

WHO: ALL CADETS - Sign up using the form below.

WHAT: A weekend training exercise where cadets learn how to build shelters, snares, put up tents, make signal fires and camp fires, etc. They will also learn proper hiking techniques, map and compass, and other useful aircrew survival skills such as survival psychology and overcoming the seven enemies of survival. (To name some: boredom, thirst, fatigue, etc.).

DRESS: FTUs and see the kit list below for what they need to bring to stay warm and comfortable throughout the weekend. Cadets who do not have FTUs are to bring clothing that is comfortable and warm in case it snows. Do not wear jeans!

EQUIPMENT: Can bring own sleeping bag and air mattress if preferred, however, they are provided. Pillows however are not provided if your cadet would like to bring one from home.

LOCATION: Fort Scott (Legion of the Frontiersmen) - See Transportation for drop off and pick up info.

*This activity is subject to weather conditions and can be cancelled on short notice.

TRANSPORTATION: Provided from the CCBCC on Friday Nov-1 at 6:00 pm/1800 hrs and back on Sunday Nov-3 at 3:00 pm/1500 hrs.

SIGN-UP REQUIRED? Yes, all cadets must sign up to confirm equipment, bus and food numbers - see the form below to signup.

MEALS: Cadets will be fed all meals on Saturday as well as breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Meals are "Meals Ready to Eat" or "Individual Meal Packs". See the links below if you are unfamiliar with their contents. Please note, meals vary year by year but ratio of breakfast/lunch/dinner, and vegetarian is consistent.

*Cadets unable to eat MREs/IMPs will need to bring their own food to be stored by the staff on-site.
